For you, the skies will be blue, the birds will sing, and your copy will be crafted by a dedicated little man whose wife will be sitting at home, knitting, wondering why your entry demands more of her husband‘s time than it should.

But you will know why, won‘t you? You will have given her husband a chance to immortalize himself in print, writing some of the most persuasive prose on behalf of a truly enlightened purveyor of widgets. And so, while your dedicated reader, enslaved to each mellifluous paragraph, clutches his newspaper with increasing interest and intention to purchase, you can count all your increased profits and take pots of money to your bank. Priopćenje za javnost Kluba UVDR Tomislav Hrkovec

Ovim putem iskazujemo naše duboko ogorčenje devastacijom spomenika poginulom branitelju Tomislavu Hrkovcu, našem sumještaninu.

Tomislav Hrkovec poginuo je od posljedica ranjavanja u prosincu 1991. godine na rijeci Kupi. Mi njegovi suborci,, osnovali smo klub branitelja u sklopu Udruge veterana Domovinskog rata Velika Gorica i nazvali ga po našem Tomislavu. Ove godine u povodu blagdana sv. Vida, zaštitnika našeg mjesta Mraclin, podignuto je spomen-obilježje našem Tomislavu u centru našeg mjeta kraj društvenog doma. Sada četiri mjeseca nakon otkrivanja spomen obilježja ono je devastirano, nepoznati počinitelj je otuđio brončanu bistu. Mi kao branitelji i suborci poginulog Tomislava, odlučni smo poduzeti sve potrebne akcije u suradnji sa legalnim institucijama naše države da se otkrije vinovnik ovog nedjela, jer nam je nanesena još jedna rana i smatramo da je ovim čin nepoštivanja vrednosta Domovinskog rata neoprostiv.

Vidovi dani u Mraclinu: Otkrivena spomen bista Tomislavu Hrkovcu

Spomen bista mladom hrvatskom vojniku, Tomslavu Hrkovcu koji je 1991. godine poginuo u Domovinskom ratu podignuta je jučer u Mraclinu u sklopu Vidovih dana.

Mraclinci se s ponosom sjećaju ratnih godina, a posebice dragog im Hrka koji je će im, kažu, uvijek ostati u sjećanju. -O njegovom karakteru svjedoči i to da je poginuo usljed posljedica ranjavanja obavljajući humanu zadaću, spašavajući svoje kolege. Na tome mu veliko hvala- rekao je predsjednik Udruge HVIDR-e Tomislav Hrkovec iz Mraclina, Krešo Hubak. Tomslav je u rat krenuo kao mladić, 21-ogodišnjak kad se priključio 10. brigadi Teritorijalne obrane (kasnije 153. goričke brigade). Ranjen je 12. prosinca 1991., a desetak dana kasnije umire od posljedica ranjavanja.

I dok su prisutni čitali retke o Tomislavu, prisjećali se Domovinskog rata i teških godina, svatko je od posjetitelja bio zaokupljen svojim mislima. Minute su prolazile kao sati, okolica je bila potpuno tiha, a zrakom se orila samo pjesma Rastanka kojom su svoje hvala iskazali mraclinski tamburaši. Svečanost je okupila i brojne mještane, članove HVIDR-e, počast su mu iskazali i vatrogasci te Turopoljski banderij, a prisutna je bila i Tomislavova obitelj. Majka Ljubica, sa suzom u oku, prisjeća se ratnih dana i pogiblje svog sina. Imala je, kaže, 40 godina. Riječi joj teško dolaze na usta. Briše suze. -Hvala svima-, tek tiho progovara.

Nastavak Vidovih dana
„Domovinski rat ne smijemo zaboraviti“ poruka je koju je jučer odaslao i gradonačelnik Velike Gorice Dražen Barišić. Mladići poput Tomislava dali su svoje živote za spas i oslobođenje Domovine i njih se, kaže, Barišić s ponosom sjećamo. Mraclinci su jučer obilježili i blagdan sveca zaštitnika, Sv. Vida, a uz misno slavlje, građani su prisustvovali i koncertu duhovne glazbe u mjesnoj crkvi. Događanja u sklopu Vidova se nastavljaju, a raznovrsni sadržaji zasigurno će privući brojne posjetitelje.Večeras vas u Mraclinu čeka kreativna Tomago radionica s početkom u 17 sati, dok je četvrtak rezerviran za tamburašku glazbu. S početkom u 20 sati u društvenom domu zabavljat će vas tamburaški sastavi Alibi, Lajbeki, Stres, Harmonija, i Tamburaški orkestar KUD-a Bukovac.
